American Sedan 355 c.i. GM Engine For Sale


Engine was built as an “experiment” for comparison to the 311 aluminum head engine that I was running at the time in 2012-2013. This motor was used for only two races. Built to the following specs:


3970010 High nickel four bolt main, two piece seal block .030” oversize, align honed, and decked. 10.3:1 compression ratio


14101081 Iron heads, milled, port matched, competition three angle valve job, Ferrea stainless steel valves, Isky springs, stainless retainers, hardened locks, Edelbrock aluminum AS spec intake port matched to heads


Crane “Gold” full roller rocker arms, Comp Cams .080” pushrods and guide plates, Comp Cams custom camshaft to AS specs and solid lifters


Howard “Made in USA” forged crankshaft, Eagle H-beam connecting rods, Probe forged flat top piston with floating pins, Streetdamper balancer, Cloyes true roller timing chain set, Clevite rod, main and cam bearings, Stewart aluminum water pump


Carb, distributor, oil pan and other accessories are not included.

This would be a great motor for a beginner, low buck racer, or for logging lots of practice laps.

Price is firm, located in Katy, TX near Houston. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I will crate the engine and bring it to any freight terminal in the Houston area at no charge.
